Petra is a public health specialist with fifteen years of experience working to design and execute organizational and technical strategies that drive health impact in low and middle-income countries. In her work, she supports the development of new organizational and technical strategies for a diversity of US- and Africa-based NGOs and donor organizations. This includes extensive work developing go-to-market strategies for the introduction of new health technologies. She draws on her training in adult learning and facilitation to drive consultative processes that drive buy-in for key decisions. Prior to this work, as Senior Technical Advisor at PSI, Petra led efforts to landscape the global HIVST market and identify key interventions to improve market health. At the country level, she provided technical oversight for the launch and scale of HIVST markets in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Petra also supported the development of voluntary medical male circumcision programs in eight sub-Saharan African countries, including South Africa, Zimbabwe and Malawi. She holds an MPH in Health Behavior from UNC Chapel Hill.
