Aasha has over 20 years of experience working for non-profit organizations and social enterprises focusing on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender equity. Her areas of expertise are strategy; organizational development; health market analysis and development; mentoring and coaching senior leaders; and project design, monitoring and evaluation.
Aasha spent a large part of her career working for MSI Reproductive Choices. She was heavily involved in MSI’s scale-up of social franchising and launching new health services such as medical abortion. Aasha was instrumental in securing significant bilateral and multilateral grants as part of sector-wide health approaches in Africa. In recent years, she has worked as a consultant on projects in Africa and Asia, for clients such as CIFF/GFATM/ViiV Healthcare via MGH; KfW; Pathfinder International, EngenderHealth; and Dasra. Aasha is currently the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors in Asia for EMpower, the Emerging Markets Foundation, which focuses on improving the lives of adolescent girls through inclusive learning, health, and economic well-being.
