Chris began his international development career in Chemonics’ Europe & Eurasia Division before working in senior new business roles at Management Sciences for Health, Perkins School for the Blind, and Tetra Tech. Chris then returned to Chemonics as Managing Director of its Global Health Division, overseeing all business development and technical thought leadership efforts. He later helped to establish Chemonics’ UK Division and supported its expansion into the FCDO market. Chris next became Chief Growth Officer of IntraHealth International. In that role, he drove the organization’s strategy and led all resource development, communications, and knowledge management efforts and oversaw its SwitchPoint conference. In January 2022, after almost 20 years in senior business development roles, Chris started Constantian Strategies to help international development organizations set their long-term growth strategies; refine their BD systems, processes, and tools; and win high-leverage efforts. 

In previous lives, Chris worked as an English and music teacher, musician, and university lecturer in Japan, England, and Scotland, and he volunteered in rural Ecuador. He has a BA in History and Government with a music minor from Skidmore College, an MA in Politics from England’s Durham University, and an MPhil in International Relations from Scotland’s St. Andrews University.
