Chastain has been working in international health for 25 years, with more than 10 years of that time implementing programs in sub-Saharan Africa. A former Foreign Service Officer, Chastain has worked for bilateral and multi-lateral agencies, as well as for large and small non-profits. In her 11 years at Population Services International (PSI) Chastain served as the country director in Togo and Uganda, where she designed and implemented social marketing and franchising programs in HIV, reproductive health, malaria, and child survival. In each place, with a team of more than 100 local staff, Chastain developed marketing and communications strategies for health products and services, as well as monitoring and evaluation, sales and distribution, franchising, and advocacy approaches. As PSI’s VP for Strategic Partnerships and Business Development, Chastain led a team that created fund raising strategies to raise more than $4 billion over 6 years.
More recently, Chastain worked with Woman Care Global as President of Programs, where she led fund raising efforts as well as program implementation, with a focus on improving the value chain for reproductive health commodities. Chastain’s inspiration for starting Mann Global Health was to bring together some of the world’s leading experts in measurable, effective health programming, and share their talents with global health clients.

An advocacy and policy expert, Jennie ensures that global health programs benefit from supportive, evidence-based public policies, and robust investment. Jennie has an extensive background in public health advocacy and policy, having led these efforts at PSI and at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), where she was Director of Advocacy and Policy. A legislative specialist by training, Jennie worked in a professional lobbying firm earlier in her career, and as a legislative assistant in the office of U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer. Jennie has contributed to advocacy efforts around both communicable and non-communicable diseases with clients including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Her skills in strategic planning, communications, and coalition development complement her global health subject matter expertise.

Zahra Aziz is a nonprofit management and communications strategist, brand builder and advisor to executive teams and boards. As a consultant she has guided sector leaders and board members through leadership transitions and change management processes. She has advised on business and advocacy strategy, built large-scale communications and marketing plans, and brokered numerous partnerships in the sexual and reproductive health sector. Previously, she served as the founding communications director for Family Planning 2020, where she led the creation of the FP2020 brand after the landmark 2012 London Summit on Family Planning. Zahra also drove communication efforts behind EngenderHealth’s award-winning WTFP?!, Where’s the Family Planning?! Campaign, and UNFPA’s first iteration of the Safe Birth, Even Here campaign to prevent maternal deaths in humanitarian and fragile settings. Zahra holds a MSc. in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and is currently pursuing an MLA in Management, with a nonprofit concentration, from Harvard University.

Su is a marketing and design thinking expert with experience in the private and social sectors. Most recently at PSI, Su led and facilitated teams across countries in Africa and Asia to address public health challenges including HIV, SRH/FP, WASH and PHC leveraging marketing, HCD and market development approaches. Su previously led the adolescent girls portfolio at the UN Foundation and has also worked at Plan International USA, managing the strategy and execution of the ‘Because I am a Girl’ Initiative. Su has brand management experience in Health Care at Procter & Gamble and served in the Peace Corps in Samoa. Su holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Duke University with concentrations in Social Entrepreneurship and Marketing.

Sarah Bowler is a doctoral student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Public Health studying Maternal & Child Health Policy. Her research focuses on the intersection of law and sexual & reproductive health issues, with a focus on access to healthcare services. During her master’s, Sarah worked on a number of research projects looking at a variety of topics, from global HIV testing protocols to children’s mental health issues. Sarah holds an MPH in Health Management & Policy from Drexel University and a Bachelors’ in Biological Sciences and Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh.

Chris is a global health professional with more than 30 years of experience in program design, management, strategic planning, marketing and impact evaluation in the reproductive health arena. From 1993 to 2004 he worked with PSI overseeing a diverse portfolio of large-scale programs in Africa, Asia, South America and the Caribbean. Chris has a specialized focus in social marketing, organizational development, behavior change communications and market dynamics. He also served as the Director of Programs at Direct Relief International for three years and spearheaded numerous emergency response projects following the tsunami and Hurricane Katrina. Chris has worked with a diverse range of governments and donors, including DFID, USAID, KFW, BMGF, The David and Lucille Packard Foundation, PAHO, UNFPA as well as various social investors/corporate social responsibility projects. Chris currently works as an independent consultant from his home in California, spending approximately half of his time as a technical advisor with Palladium’s Health Markets and Behavior Change practice unit. Chris speaks Spanish and French.

Dr. Nirali Chakraborty has over 10 years of experience in research, monitoring and evaluation, and is a managing partner at Insight Metrics. Her work currently focuses on the evidence-based design of performance metrics, and their deployment. Dr. Chakraborty uses a combination of rigorous research and a keen awareness of the dynamics of data collection and use to work with organizations and governments to select and employ appropriate measures. While at Population Services International, she oversaw the quality and dissemination of their reproductive health related research internationally, and has conducted studies in numerous countries. Dr. Chakraborty has published over 15 peer-reviewed articles in a variety of health and measurement topics, and is fluent in French, and conversant in three Indian languages. She received her PhD in International Health, with a concentration in Health Systems, from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Insight Metrics improves the lives and wellbeing of underserved individuals around the world by helping organizations in the social sector measure performance, harness the power of their data, evaluate the impact and efficiency of their programs, and increase accountability through smart data use. To ensure programs and managers have the critical information they need to measure and maximize their impact, we support organizations across the monitoring and evaluation continuum, from conceptualizing a theory of change and results framework, to metric development, research, and data use strategies, in order to build a culture of evidence-based management and strategic decision-making. Alamelu is an organizational development and human resources professional with over 17 years experience in partnering with organizational leaders to address their talent needs. Over the last decade Alamelu has held key roles in HR and talent development and successfully developed organizational capacity both at headquarters and the country offices of PSI and FINCA. Prior to her roles in international development, Alamelu worked as a strategic HR consultant in the private sector. She is the co-founder of RISE, a global HR and Talent Development consulting firm that strengthens HR departments and develops organization talent. Alamelu has travelled considerably across Africa and Asia for work. She holds an MBA in Human Resources & Information systems and is a certified facilitator in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality instrument.

Leigh Ann brings more than 15 years of experience designing, implementing and monitoring public health projects, working for a variety of organizations including NGOs like the American Red Cross and the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, as well as for-profits like Chemonics and JSI. She specializes in reproductive health and HIV prevention, with a passion for engaging marginalized populations and youth. She is a skilled proposal and assessment writer with a reputation for timely delivery of compelling text. Leigh Ann thrives in collaborative, multicultural settings and is an excellent trainer and facilitator. Other skills include organizational capacity building, and design of curricula, educational materials and job aids. She has worked across sub-Saharan Africa, with significant time spent in Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Rwanda, Togo, and Uganda. Leigh Ann is fluent in French.

Sarah has been working in international health for 20 years based in East and Southern Africa. She is a strategic leader who has served in both technical and operational capacities, managing annual budgets of $25+million and leading and supporting staff teams of 300+.
Through postings in Malawi, South Susan, Ethiopia and Tanzania, Sarah has robust experience and skills in: strategic planning; project design, planning, implementation and evaluation; organizational restructuring; building and leading successful teams; and mentoring and coaching talent. She is also a trained and experienced facilitator. Through her leadership roles, Sarah has experience in managing and participating on non-profit governance boards in line with established best practice.
Sarah has provided technical assistance in market development and facilitation, social marketing, social and behavioral change communications, HIV, ASRH and malaria. She has exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills and enjoys applying them to improve communication of complex issues to establish trust and create a shared way forward.
Sarah calls a small eco-house in Scotland home and loves walking the Scottish mountains, practicing yoga, reading and spending time with her daughter and dog.

Nicole is a behavioral designer, marketing strategist and business management professional with more than 15 years of experience working in both public and private sectors. Her work spans international markets including Africa and Asia. While her skills are transferable across global health areas, her focus has been in reproductive health; water, sanitation and hygiene; and noncommunicable disease. She draws on her private sector experience in global brand management and corporate sales and marketing to develop strategies to improve demand generation and increase adoption rates of global health products and services. An example of her work is the USAID publication “Strategies for Changing the Behavior or Private Providers.”

Sadie Healy is the CEO of Molloy Consulting. She brings over 12 years of experience working around the world to create and manage programs, improve organizational effectiveness, and develop strategic systems. She started her global health career with Jhpiego on the Maternal and Child Survival Program family planning team where she worked on a study assessing family planning integration at the facility level in India and Kenya as well as the Accelerating PPFP strategy meeting for 16 countries. Sadie has worked to improve supply chain management and training programs for safe surgery in over 20 countries in Africa and Southern Asia. She has experience in process improvement, designing corporate presence at conferences, and training others in evidence-based programming. Sadie holds a Masters in Public Health from George Washington University and a Social Work degree from Calvin College.

Chris is a strategic leader, passionate in leveraging the private sector to empower the vulnerable to lead healthier lives. Chris brings fifteen years of international executive leadership experience in the design and execution of strategy supporting the delivery of life-saving clinical services, products, and marketing messages through the private sector. Chris was responsible for operations of country health programs in Central Asia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Kenya, where he honed skills and insight to get the most out of teams delivering impact. Annual budgets ran to $45 million per annum, supported by 250+ staff. Postings in Asia and Africa saw the launch and rapid scale up of innovative, sustainable programs improving malaria, reproductive health, child survival, and HIV/AIDS outcomes of at-risk populations. As PSI’s Global Network Catalyst, Chris focused on maximizing the value PSI delivered to Global Network Members. When not traveling the world on global assignments, Chris spends his days skiing, biking, hiking, and getting outside in the woods of North Idaho with his family.

She is skilled in applying formative research and has led market analyses and assessments that resulted in the successful launch of a variety of contraceptives, HIV testing services, and water treatment products. Angelika has extensive experience in leading multi-cultural teams of 50+ staff and strengthening their capacity through ongoing training, constructive supervision, mentoring, and strategic planning. Dr. Kim Longfield has more than 20 years of experience in global health and international development. Her areas of expertise include translating evidence into practice, stakeholder engagement, strategic advising and communications, research and evaluation design, and capacity building. Prior to consulting, Kim served as Director of Strategic Research and Evaluation at Population Services International. Her work has been used to develop, monitor, and evaluate programs, analyze health markets, and advocate for standard measures across organizations. She is the author of more than forty publications and has worked in social marketing and social franchising, behavior change, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health and family planning, safe abortion, maternal health, child health, malaria, tuberculosis, and non-communicable diseases. She has on-the-ground experience in 36 countries throughout Asia, Africa, Central America, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Kim has a PhD in Sociology and International Health and a MPH in International Health/Health Communication and Education, both from the Tulane University.

Nora Miller is Mann Global Health's Director of Operations. She is also a trained researcher in public health and sexual reproductive health with a background in mixed methods research, program evaluation, and implementation science. Nora previously served as a Technical Advisor for WomanCare Global and the USAID-funded Expanding Effective Contraceptive Options Project (EECO) to introduce new types of family planning methods in sub-Saharan Africa. Since joining Mann Global Health, she has supported a number of projects on market landscaping and supply chains for contraceptives, marketing and communications for health, and strategic planning for non-profits. Nora has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UMass Amherst, a masters of science in public health from Harvard, and is pursuing a PhD in Population Health Sciences from Harvard.

Reid Moorsmith has 15 years of experience in global health and livelihoods improvement. He has served in leadership positions in both technical and operational capacities, in West Africa and South and Southeast Asia, as well as Washington, DC. Across vastly different contexts, he established a track record for successfully building and leading teams to increase performance, cohesion, accountability, and morale. Reid also excels as a trainer and facilitator, in both high- and low-capacity settings. Trained as a cultural anthropologist, Reid came to health through his expertise in ethnographic research. He was instrumental in putting consumer insight at the heart of program design at Population Services International. He has also been PSI's point person for market facilitation work in the Asia region, playing a key role in projects to improve market performance for long- and short-acting contraception, malaria, and sanitation across numerous countries in the region. In Liberia, Reid designed an innovative program that radically increased uptake of modern contraceptive methods by young women. During the West Africa Ebola crisis in 2014, Reid led PSI's regional response and co-designed the US government's biggest health communications intervention in Liberia. Reid conducted foundational research on gender relations in Myanmar and the decision-making processes of clients of commercial sex workers across numerous countries in South and Southeast Asia. Reid has provided technical assistance on strategy, market facilitation, program design and measurement, marketing, and research in over 25 countries.

Veronica has over 20 years’ experience in health management in the areas of HIV/AIDS, Maternal & Child Health, Reproductive Health, Social Marketing, and Social Franchising. She worked with Population Services International for 15 years in various capacities and was the Deputy Country Director at the time of her resignation in 2011 to pursue a career in consultancy. Her core competences include health programs design, implementation, and evaluation, market landscape assessments using market systems approaches such as Total Market Approach (TMA) and Making Markets work for the Poor (M4P), private sector assessments, market research, and social behavior change communications. Veronica led the development of one of Kenya’s first successful social franchises in health - the Tunza Family Health Network - that is managed by Population Services Kenya and has over 300 private clinics offering diverse health services. As a health management consultant, she has provided a wide range of consultancy services to clients such as Population Services International, Cardno Emerging Markets, Jhpiego, Marie Stopes International, Abt Associates, PSI/Ethiopia, MOH/Ethiopia, Futures Group/Palladium, as well as international consultancy firms seeking to work with experienced Kenyan consultancies for assignments based in Kenya. Veronica has an MBA from the University of Nairobi and a BA in Psychology from the University of Baroda, India.

Her technical expertise includes data2action, social marketing, social franchising, social and behavior change and market facilitation, quality assurance, provider behavior change and community engagement. She has negotiated and led numerous public-private partnerships to facilitate market entry and access to essential health products including injectable and implant contraceptives, plastic septic tanks and low dead space syringes. An accomplished team leader, Ms. Neukom has built and led high-performing, multi-national teams to overcome public health and market development challenges in numerous country contexts. She has exceptionally strong analysis and written as well as interpersonal communication skills. Wawira is also a certified coach and mentor. Wawira served with PSI Kenya for 11 years in various capacities including: Director of Strategy & Innovations, whereby she was involved in the design and implementation of highly effective Marketing, Communication and Service delivery interventions addressing public health issues such as Reproductive Health, HIV, Malaria, Child Survival, WASH and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs); Director of Business Incubation, which involved new business development, exploration and incubation of new strategic ventures for PS Kenya; and Director for Partnerships and Outreach, that required setting up and running the organization’s activities at the community level, and fostering strategic partnerships with the Ministry of Health and other implementing partners at national and sub-national levels. Aasha has over 20 years of experience working for non-profit organizations and social enterprises with a focus on sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and women’s empowerment. She started working on public health issues as a program manager for International Rescue Committee in Kenya covering Southern Sudan and Somalia in the 1990s.
She has spent most of her career working for Marie Stopes International. As Regional Director for East and Southern Africa, she provided direct strategic support to MSI’s country programs leading to significant expansion and improvements in quality, access, and sustainability. Aasha was heavily involved in MSI’s scale up of social franchising and the launch of medical abortion. She was instrumental in securing a number of significant bilateral and multilateral grants as part of sector-wide health approaches in Africa, as well as leading successful proposals for MSI globally. Recently Aasha led the relationship and engagement with a large private foundation, providing oversight of a US$140 million portfolio of contraception and safe abortion projects across MSI. Aasha has worked closely with country programs in Africa and Asia, strengthening the technical rigor of their operations and client care.
Aasha’s areas of expertise are strategy; organizational development; mentoring and coaching senior leaders; and governance. She excels in inspiring and leading team members to deliver results. Aasha has extensive board experience having served on a number of non-profit boards She is currently Board Director and Chair of the Program Committee for EMpower, the Emerging Markets Foundation, which focuses on improving the lives of young people, particularly education and SRH for girls.

Kari has worked in global policy, human rights and advocacy for 12 years, both as a consultant and in nonprofit organizations. Trained in public policy, Kari was most recently Senior Policy Advisor at Ipas, a global reproductive rights organization, where she created and oversaw programs and conducted in-country research to enhance the enabling environment for women’s and girls’ access to safe abortion care in Malawi, Nigeria and Sierra Leone. Kari also represented Ipas for five years as an advocate at major United Nations meetings on the status of women, and on population and development. Kari worked in Zimbabwe with Gays and Lesbians of Zimbabwe and the Musasa Project, the country’s sole organization providing direct support to gender-based violence survivors. Her technical expertise extends across the spectrum of global health, including meeting facilitation and training, writing, policy advocacy, partnership and coalition development, and qualitative research and interviewing.

Grace has over 20 years experience in talent management and organizational development across the not-for-profit, public and private sectors. As an HR executive, Grace has supported employees globally, and she has lived and worked on three continents. Grace led the HR function at PSI for close to a decade where she established an effective talent management program and built a global network of HR professionals to promote best practices in over 60 countries. She is the co-founder of RISE, a global HR and Talent Development consulting firm that strengthens HR departments and develops organization talent. RISE supports HR strategy development and major change initiatives, including interim HR operational support, review of policy and procedures, and mentoring/coaching for mid- and senior-level HR staff. RISE talent development services identify skills gaps and help address them through management and leadership development programs. Currently completing an MSc in Psychology, Grace has an MA in Social Research and is certified in numerous psychometric assessment tools, including MBTI, CPI, OPQ.

Joanna Robinson brings over 20 years of experience in the strategic design, management, monitoring and evaluation of complex, multimillion-dollar international health and economic development programs. Her work has included long-term positions with the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF). Joanna has an extensive background managing large-scale initiatives and projects from both the funder and grantee sides, including: guiding technical direction of programs; performance assessments and identifying course corrections where necessary; research, evaluation and data analysis; financial oversight; organizational capacity building; and relationship management with donors and governments. Her areas of focus are pediatric and adolescent HIV, sexual and reproductive health, and maternal and child health. Joanna has worked around the world, in Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, India, China, Georgia, Macedonia, Poland, Romania and Russia. She is known for her strong interpersonal and communication skills, and expertise working with diverse stakeholders and partners. Joanna holds a MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Allison University.

Celina Schocken is a senior advisor on women’s health, maternal health, development and adoption of new technologies, and health systems strengthening. She advises non-profits, foundations and startup companies on program scale up and product introduction throughout the world.
Previously, Ms. Schocken was the CEO of Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon, a public private partnership focused on cervical and breast cancer. Ms. Schocken was Director of Policy and Advocacy at Merck for Mothers, where she led the Saving Mothers, Giving Life partnership, and Director of International Organizations at Population Services International (PSI), where she managed PSI’s work with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria and other multilateral organizations. She also served as Chief Advisor to the Rwandan Minister of State for HIV/AIDS and Other Epidemics. She was a fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Schocken received her juris doctor and master’s degree in public policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s in business administration from New York University, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and HEC Paris. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago.

Donna is a health marketing and social behavior change communication (SBCC) specialist with more than 15 years of global health experience spanning a range of health areas – HIV, TB, family planning, adolescent reproductive health, nutrition and malaria. After nearly 10 years in private sector healthcare marketing in the United States, she moved to the non-profit sector and spent seven years in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda designing and managing health communication and advocacy programs, including a regional health communication project. Donna held senior leadership positions at PSI, including Deputy Director for HIV and TB. In this role she designed and led PSI’s global HIV strategy and provided technical assistance to SBCC and insight-driven product and service marketing interventions, including those for newly proven and emerging technologies (i.e. HIV self testing, voluntary medical male circumcision).
Donna has deep experience in new business development, training and capacity building in SBCC, and social marketing, and has provided technical assistance to countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean. Donna’s technical skills have earned her an international reputation as a social marketing and SBCC strategist and leader who can develop effective, market based strategies, design realistic plans for program implementation and build local staff capacity.

Ms. Andrea Sprockett has expertise in the management of large cross-cultural teams and community engagement initiatives, and is a managing partner at Insight Metrics. She has experience overseeing a portfolio of international project partnerships, with a focus on development and implementation of performance metrics and use of data for operational and strategic decision-making. Ms. Sprockett is trained in human-centered design techniques and the application of user-centered approaches to assess and build organizational capacity to use data for management. She has experience designing training programs that actively engage clients in learning and knowledge application within their organization. Ms. Sprockett is fluent in Spanish and holds a Master’s degree in International Public Health from the University of Sydney, and a Master’s degree in Spanish Translation from Kent State University.

We have experience working with individuals, small businesses, small and large nonprofit organizations, and government ministries to successfully develop and implement measurement initiatives that strengthen management capacity and organizational impact.

Anne is a brand strategist and marketing communications leader with over 15 years’ experience in private sector brand management, including roles at Starbucks (VP of Marketing and Category for Evolution Fresh) and Procter & Gamble (multiple roles across Olay, PUR, Vicks, and Zest). Anne's specialities include brand positioning and architecture, marketing communications and multi-media activation, innovation strategy, new product development, consumer insights, group facilitation, and collaborative problem solving. Prior to embarking on a career in brand management, Anne held roles at Management Sciences for Health, where she provided technical assistance in information management systems in francophone Africa and Haiti. Anne holds an AB in comparative religion and French from Smith College and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Lucy has over 15 years of experience in international development, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health. Her work includes designing and implementing outcomes-oriented monitoring, evaluation, and learning plans using complexity-aware techniques; advising teams on strategic planning and implementation; and supporting evidence-based programs and scale-up of best practices.
In addition to having expertise in business development and diversification, knowledge management, and project management, she is well-versed in research approaches from early stage product development through implementation science. Her areas of in-depth knowledge include sexual and reproductive health and rights, family planning, menstrual health, contraceptive development, and gender equality.
During her eleven years at FHI 360, Lucy served as the monitoring and evaluation lead for several large ($25M+) USAID- and Gates Foundation-funded projects, designing innovative, yet practical approaches to track results of research, advocacy, capacity building, and innovation activities. She also led the organization’s internal strategy work to expand its presence in the family planning field. In the nearly five years she led this work, revenue from family planning projects doubled.
She lived and worked for three years in several African countries. In 2016, Lucy was recognized as a leader in family planning by the Gates Institute’s “120 Under 40: The New Generation of Family Planning Leaders” initiative.
